本部分适用于金属铬中硫含量的测定。其中红外法测定范围（质量分数）：０．００５％～０．０４５％；燃烧
中和滴定法测定范围（质量分数）：０．００５％～０．０７０％。 本部分与ＧＢ／Ｔ４７０２．１６—１９８８和ＧＢ／Ｔ４７０２．１７—１９８８比较，主要变化如下：
———红外线吸收法中助熔剂由原来的０．５０ｇ锡粒、１．５０ｇ钨粒改为０．２５ｇ锡粒、１．０ｇ钨粒，并加入０．５０ｇ纯铁；
———燃烧中和滴定法中测定范围由原来的≤０．０７０％改为０．００５％～０．０７０％。
