【摘要】:Asthisisatimeintensivetest,itshouldnotbeconsideredasanacceptancetestforcommercialshipmentsofprefabricatedverticalstripdrains.Priortothedevelopmentofverticalstripdrains,whenitwasdesiredtoincreasetherateofconsolidationofacompressiblesoilonaconstructionproject,largediametersanddrainswereinstalled.Verticalstripdrainscanbeinstalledinareaswhereitisdesiredtoincreasetherateofsoilsconsolidationinplaceoftheselargediametersanddrains.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtocomparetheperformanceofverticalstripdrainstothatofsanddrains.1.1Thistestmethodisaperformancetest,whichmeasurestheeffectivenessofverticalstripdrainsonthetimeratesofconsolidationofcompressiblesoilsfromconstructionprojectsites.1.1.1Itisexpectedthatthedesignagencywillberesponsibleforperformingthistest.Itisnotintendedtobeamanufacturerperformedtest.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoallverticalstripdrains.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
